"Just a quick post for all the ‘Band Geeks’ - I say that VERY lovingly, so don’t freak out on me! I myself have been a Band Geek since 1979. I went to College with Mrs. Coffer. Getting the picture?! I spent the evening of 4/28 attending a reunion with all of my fellow Band Geeks from 1980-1990 - the main years for our beloved Leader Of The Band, Mr. Ronald Curtis. (His son Ryan - who I used to babysit - Curtis from Lindenwood writes your shows, I believe). For those of you who have seen my pictures, we were a BAND!!! 100+ of us most years. And we worked. Hard. We won, we lost, we played, we marched. I’d not seen these people in nearly 30 years, and I had no idea how much I’d missed them! We brought our instruments & played some of our old music; Peter Gunn, Soul Man, Eye of the Tiger, & our Fight Song. My point? Enjoy every moment with your fellow Band Geeks. Put down your cell & live in the moment; in 30 years from now you’re going to want every second back to live over again. No one else in your life will have these shared memories. Years from now, when you see your own child proudly wearing a Band Uniform and marching tall on a crisp fall day, you’ll understand why the Moms were all wearing sunglasses watching you. It was to hide the tears. There is NOTHING like your Band Family. Hold on to each second."

Sorry for the lack of creativity recently.
Not only am I super busy studying for AP’s, I’m in that awkward stage between winter and color guard where my life has no meaning.
I’ll be starting color guard training in two weeks, but until then, hang in there.
And good luck to any high school students taking AP’s! I feel your pain.
